From Scaffolding to Elevators and Security Systems to Air-conditioning, Sanityware and Facilities Management, the Al-Futtaim name spells quality & reliability.Our MEP Projects division provides solutions from design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning in one coordinated package or as individual services in conjunction with other contractors. Some of our projects are residential buildings, offices, shopping malls, hospitals, hotels, schools, showrooms, public utility buildings, industrial units, mosques, warehouses, high rise towers and Infrastructure works.In this role you will have the following responsibilities :* Executing the projects fully in line with the labour and material allowances of the approved cost sheets* Verifying quantities from drawings and ensure that the material orders are inline with the project requirements and specifications* Recording and reporting variations from contract scope* Preparing  and submitting monthly valuations and certification from client* Preparing & verifying designs and converting them to site worthy shop drawings & highlights * Clarifying discrepancies with the client/designers in coordination with the superiors* Coordinating with different services and ensuring compliance to standards and local regulations* Studying the approved project program * Prepare weekly plans, plan and mobilise required materials and resources* Tracking progress and monitoring material and resource utilisation* Preparing and discussing weekly progress dash boards with planning engineer and project manager* Preparing work method statement for each activity in accordance with the installation and safety standards* Analysing risks by using standard procedures and compile risk assessment sheets* Ensuring the implementation of the method statements and risk mitigation measures* Leading, training and motivating team members to maximise quality* Identifying training needs and recommend training for team members to improve skill levels and competency * Building up a multi skilled technical team* Ensuring discipline and acceptable behaviour with all staff* Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, local authorities and vendors to build & maintain cordial relationship thus ensuring smooth operations |
RequirementsRequirementsTo be successful in winning this role, the following are the prerequisites:* Degree in Mechanical Engineering * 7 Plus years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in various projects* 5 Plus years of experience working in GCC / Gulf region as a Mechanical Engineer * Experience in managing a team designers, engineers & drafters  |
