These responsibilities include implementation of owner's responsibilities to comply with International Atomic Energy Agency recommendations, master program planning, and licensing and permitting associated with nuclear and support facilities.

Help provide long-term, safe energy solution for a fast-growing population by collaborating with the international community to build a clean, environmentally friendly, civil nuclear power program for the United Arab Emirates. Our Senior Mechanical Engineer provides you with an opportunity to oversee the engineering activities related to the Prime Contractor's and his Sub-Contractors/Suppliers' deliverables in the design, construction, installation and commissioning of Braka Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) with the focus primarly on piping and HVAC mechanical systems and equipment of permanent faciltites. You should be a self-motivated professional with experience in Nuclear Power plant design, construction or industry operations in an mechanical engineering role, at least 10 years of Nuclear Power Plant experience, a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Senior Mechanical Engineering job.

Our Senior Mechanical Engineers are responsible for:

1) Mechanical Deliverables Review·

Conduct primary technical reviews, on assigned PC's design deliverables related to mechanical equipment and systems such as design and calculations documentations, Piping and instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PDFs, relevant technical specifications, procurement and tendering packages to ensure compliance with PC requirements, project schedule, as well as UAE laws and regulations.

Monitor the PC as necessary to ensure expectations are met in the assigned aspects of mechanical systems and equipment; during the design, constructions, installation, and commissioning of BNPP.

Review sub suppliers/KEPCO documentations with respect to mechanical equipment and materials to ensure compliance with the PC requirements.

Coordinate primary technical reviews of PC's and/or ENECs processes and procedure in order to ensure approvals where relevant and to prepare technical reports on findings.

Accept mechanical related design change and non-conformance reviews and evaluations to ensure fulfillment of requirements.

Ensure the development of required documentation for the review process, in order to include comments, recommendations and corrective actions plans for the PC when appropriate.

Ensure that assigned mechanical equipment installations are performed, in accordance with the engineering design requirements, project contract agreements, schedule and ENEC's Safety and Quality standards.

2) Technical Support

Provide technical input and expertise to the PC's and Sub-Contractors/Suppliers' electrical related deliverables as a functional team member in order to ensure required standards are maintained.

Support the engineering, safety, planning, and quality surveillance discipline members in the tasks resolutions process in order to expedite solutions of any arising issues.

Coordinate and oversee installation and commissioning activities within area of responsibility to ensure compliance to project specifications and governing codes.

3) Reporting

Advise management on issues affecting the project in order to take necessary actions as required.

4) Stakeholder Engagement

Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships.

5) HSE

Follow all relevant departmental HSE policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure HSE compliance in all aspects of work in accordance with sound management practices by applying these HSE policies and procedures to self and others to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people , or the environment, who are at the employee's place of work who may be affected by the employee's acts or omissions at work.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial process Engineering
5-7 years of relevant experience in Mechanical equipment installations
Experience in major project development
Experience in Power plant design, construction or industry operations, in a mechanical engineering roleĀ·
Knowledge of design techniques and tools
Ability to read drawings and virtual plant models
English fluency
MS Office

Preferred Qualities:
Masters degree in Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering
Broad experience in providing technical support to the mechanical engineering acticites during the design, construction, installation, and commissioning of power plants.
Nuclear Safety awareness
ASME Certification
Arabic Fluency
