The Role


The Role


We are currently looking for a highly competent senior mechanical engineer who will be able to utilise their skills and experience of working in a multidisciplinary design environment to make innovative design solutions from project feasibility stage through to completion

Responsibilities

• Technical presentation and meetings with clients
• Design of mechanical building services
• Producing technical design presentations and reports
• Management of the design process following QA procedures
• Leadership, training and mentoring graduates
• Design reviews
• Quality assurance
• Reporting to HoD

Candidates should meet the following criteria:-

Qualifications

• A registered professional engineer with a degree with further continued professional development qualifications in the building services industry.
• Technically qualified and competent working with ASHRAE, CIBSE and NFPA standards,
• 10 years relevant design and site experience in mechanical building services
• Must be aware of innovative new technologies and current sustainability practices.

Essential

• Good interpersonal and communication skills is essential, to represent the company and present technical design solutions to clients.
• Good design and site experience working within a multidisciplinary environment is a key competency
• Computer literate with direct experience using the following software is required:
- IES
- Hevacomp or E20 calculation software
- AutoCAD

Desirable

• The candidate should be familiar with working in the Middle East and it is preferred that the person has knowledge of Atkins working procedures and a business minded focus.
• Membership of key engineering institutes and societies is desirable.
