Job description / Role
Implement & supervise all Mechanical Engineering tasks and schedules.
Proven experience in Substation ventilation and district cooling works, hydraulic analysis specialized in pipes, tunnel related design, and execution works.
Must have advanced knowledge of applicable codes, standards and acceptable industry practices (Preferably the American Codes and British Standards)
Oversee the review and approval process for all mechanical and technical submittals. Reviewing engineering design packages for constructability issues.
Advise and monitor onsite MEP engineers for MEP work such as installation of power Sub Station and Distribution works, UPS, Air conditioning, BMS systems, Lifts, Fire hydrant & protection system, Hydro pneumatic systems, water distribution system and other MEP activities as required.
Work with project teams for carrying out various MEP designs, documentation, MIS and project monitoring and management activities.
Synergize with the project commissioning team to ensure that all projects are meticulously commissioned to deliver world class standards of quality to QPM clients
Liaison with consultants, MEP supervisory engineers, Management Team and with local authorities and ministerial agencies.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineer
Minimum of 8 years related experience
GCC experience is a must
Should have experience in design and construction of mechanical facilities (and associated equipment) related to infrastructure facilities including water/wastewater pump station, wastewater treatment plants, piping systems for water distribution, wastewater collection, drainage, gas, district cooling, etc.
Strong knowledge and experience with design and construction of large-scale mechanical systems and infrastructure
Experience in testing and commissioning of these systems
Understanding basic I/C components and design required for these systems
Reporting, presentation and administration skills
Strong knowledge with international standard and local guidelines
