Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job description / Role

Atkins has been commissioned to embed a Construction Project Management Team working on Civil / infrastructure programmes into a key client’s office and organisation based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The client operates within the Defence Sector on a variety of construction projects. The team is responsible for managing the client’s construction programme including the appointment of designers and contractors, undertaking concept design and master planning activities, reviewing, reporting and auditing consultant’s/contractor’s submissions.

As part of this team, we are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer which will report to the Design Lead.

Requirements

Essential

•University qualification
•Registered professional engineer with at least 5 years post qualification experience - Preferably registered in UK, USA or EU.
•Good all round experience from front end to delivery
•Good understanding of CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS and NFPA Codes
•Experience on similar projects at a senior level
•Client and stakeholder facing experience

Preferred
•Defence Experience
•Good understanding of Middle East Building Codes
•Middle East Experience
•AutoCAD
•Site experience
•Design and Build Experience
