The RoleThe RoleParsons he hiring a Sr. Network Engineer who will support the EMEA WAN (Wide Area Network), LAN (Local Area Network), IPTelephony, Video Conferencing and structured cable infrastructures within UAE and outside UAE. Translate customer requirements into technical specifications in the areas of: - Video Conferencing - WAN Solution - Voice Solutions - LAN Solution - Security Solution - Structured Cable Solution Resolve day-to-day network problems related to LAN/WAN/IP Telephony reported through the Helpdesk. Interface with various vendors to identify and recommend hardware and software solutions in support of requirements. Monitor Network performance. Recommend, or proactively act, to assure system performance meets requirements for continuity of service and service levels. Provide technical skill in troubleshooting network problems and either take corrective action, or interface with the appropriate vendor/enterprise resources to resolve network problems. Create and maintain network documentation. Provide oversight management of vendors for structured cabling. Provide technical guidance in activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of reported problems either by telephone or on site. Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps. Monitor network operations utilizing troubleshooting software and assist the client with resolving any network connectivity issues or escalate to the appropriate specialist. Analyze connectivity problems (LAN/WAN/IP Tel), interpret testing results and determine if the clients equipment/circuits, vendor connection lines or Company routers are the cause and initiate measures for prompt rectification. Coordinate network repairs and dispatch the appropriate vendor/specialist depending on the error determination. Assist vendors/specialists with network testing assignments and circuitry repairs designed to maximize operating capacity. Responsible for oversight of region wide video conferencing systems to include but not limited to production support, problem management, reporting, vendor management, asset management and service levels. Troubleshoot all AV/VC equipment problems, coordinating with core technical team and outside vendors as appropriate. Work remotely with international sites to help trouble shoot and resolve equipment problems. Perform appearance and preventive maintenance visits to all conference rooms and all Video Conferencing (VC) Rooms (VC connections, wires, peripherals, speakers, etc.) Support technical and non-technical users of the enterprise video infrastructure. Develop internal staff documents for event analysis, troubleshooting support, network infrastructure documentation and maintenance procedures. Directly support VC and AV requests and meetings. o Coordinate bridged VC conferences, assisting in call set-up as requested. o Set-up, break-drown and support meetings where audiovisual equipment is being used. o Facilitate high level conference events per best practices o Operate audiovisual systems and equipment during meetings when required. o Provide end user support for meetings where audiovisual systems are used. o Meet with customers before meetings and presentations to understand the customers requirements for how the audiovisual systems will be used. o Perform training and education with end users regarding functionality and use of audiovisual systems. o Provide immediate or emergency in person problem resolution when necessary and escalate unresolved problems to the requisite technical resources as required. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and execute technical Video Conferencing and Audio Visual integrations throughout the region, often requiring expert analysis and direction to teams of other specialists. Lead and Implement new IT infrastructure projects. |
RequirementsRequirementsIn this respect, the position requires you to demonstrate the below mentioned expertise to be the chosen one for this open position: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience Minimum of 5-7 years of related technical support & implementation experience and understands network design, quality of service, and network security 2+ years of experience and knowledge of Tandberg, Cisco, and Codian video conferencing technologies. Ability to define Infrastructure requirements. Experience in the implementation and support of CISCO IP Telephony solutions Strong Experience in Networking Hardware and configurations specifically on Enterprise level CISCO hardware. Ability to design, deploy, and support advanced QoS configurations across a WAN and within the LAN in direct support of VoIP. Strong Experience with IT Operations Experience in Tandberg Video Conferencing Equipment Strong written and verbal English Language communication skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to research and solve customer-end issues without seeing or touching their equipment. Ability to work with internal and external teams. Ability to work autonomously on various problems combined with the discernment to know when to approach issues from a team perspective. Ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities, balanced with strong attention to details. Experience in overseeing infrastructure structured cabling activities. Team Leadership skills with a minimum of 3 years experience as a team leader. Experience in configuration, setup and troubleshooting of IPSec, VPNs and point to point links |
