Senior Officer – Application Support
1.Manage high availability of Live Systems used in the bank. Responsible for E-Banking, Middleware and other applications
2.Implement new projects & business solutions.
3.Project management of the projects assigned.
4.Support of E-Banking, Middleware, Bancs Connect, Finacle Integrator, SMS Banking, Websphere application server, Cash Deposits Systems, RTGS, ACH, BO, Moody’s system and other application systems used in production environment.
5.Proactive monitoring of applications to ensure maximum availability and maintain the monitoring procedures of applications.
6.Provide support and ensure high availability of Live Systems used in the bank.
7.Ensures that production systems provide continuous, efficient and accurate support for Bank’s operation.
8.Basic management of the various Oracle and SQL databases installed for the respective applications.
9.Manage changes by ensuring that problem management and change management procedures are adhered to and problems tracked to resolution
10.Update applications with necessary patches as and when applicable
11.Assist database administrators in maintaining backups of application & database to avoid data loss.
12.Liaise with Branch and Head Office users to ensure that service delivery meets the agreed service levels
13.Capacity Planning for Live Systems to ensure efficient functioning of applications in production environment
14.Recovery / reinstallation of applications in case of failure.
15.Generating Ad-hoc reports as requested by the various departments.
16.Compliance and Adherence to Bank’s Information Security Policy and other procedures.
17.Maintain & update the backup & recovery, monitoring, house keeping documents of applications
18.Coordinate with vendors for new requirements and issue rectifications.
19.Work as Backup to the teammates in their absence
•Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / MCA
•Minimum 3 Years of IT experience in Banking.
•24x7 production support experience of critical applications
•Oracle / MSSQL
•Unix working experience
•Experience with interfacing with many systems and processing environments
•Customer service oriented
•Experience in functional / Technical areas of Finacle Core Banking System
•IBM MQ, WPS, MQ Broker
•Knowledge of other banking applications like RTGS, ACH, SWIFT, SMS Banking, e-banking etc
•Hands on experience in technologies like Java / J2EE
•Web Sphere Application server
•PL / SQL Scripting
