 As part of our accelerated growth we wish to appoint a Senior Officer Cards.
The role of the Senior Officer Cards is mainly responsible for assisting the Head of Card Issuing (Credit Cards) in managing the credit card portfolio with a view to maximize usage by existing customers and attracting new customers, thereby facilitating growth in the Group's retail banking customer base.

Requirements

You will implement strategies and plans to achieve pre-set/ pre-agreed volume, revenue and profit targets through usage of credit card products and Monitor card activation and usage data/ trends, formulate card retention strategies to minimize attrition and thereby help grow the cards portfolio.
You will assist the Head of Card Issuing (credit card) in communicating the benefits of the latest technologies in credit cards products (viz. chip technology) to both customers and staff to educate them about the same resulting in increased acceptance and usage of the Group's cards by customers.
You will enhance relationships with VISA, MasterCard, Amex, JCB & Co-branding partners.
You will launch new credit card products in line with the Retail Banking strategy and implement usage campaigns to increase customer spending and grow the card portfolio.
You will participate in projects by reviewing and analyzing current card systems, documenting new procedures and specify business requirements for new or enhanced card systems to Group IT in liaison with the relevant Business & User Support unit/ department.
Carry out advertisement and promotion activities related to various card products in conjunction with the Retail Sales & Marketing Department as directed by the Head of Card Issuing (Credit Cards).
Monitor Credit Cards portfolio risks closely and take prompt remedial action in coordination with the Head of Card Issuing (Credit Cards) when required to ensure good risk quality.
 You will be a university graduate with at least 5 years experience in financial services with a specialization in Credit Cards business.
You will be well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and related regulations for the debit cards business.
You will have a well-founded understanding in the issuing of credit cards products and the related risk, operations and controls.
You will have good oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).
You will have knowledge of the relevant laws, regulations and best practices pertaining to card products.
