Description and Desired Qualifications Senior Pipeline Engineer - Basrah, Iraq Job Description: Be the Senior Pipeline Engineer on the project related to onshore pipeline systems Specific Accountabilities Site visit / Survey and Data Collection Pipeline route reconnaissance Pipeline Mechanical Design Calculations (e.g. Wall Thickness, Crossing Design etc). Preparation of Materials Specifications and Data Sheets Provide necessary inputs to Designers for preparation of various layouts, detail drawing, MTOs Knowledge of selection of materials. Review of other discipline deliverables for interface checking, inter discipline co-ordination activities etc. Preparation of Material Requisitions (MRs) also called as RFQs (Requisition of Quotation) Evaluation of Technical Quotations / Offers submitted by the Vendors Raise Technical Queries (TQs) if any, to the respective vendor for clarifications. Prepare Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) table & TBE report. Prepare Purchase Requisition / Order Review of Vendor Data / Drawings and approval of the same. Participation in Value Engineering Workshops, Preparation of CTRs (Cost, Time and Resource requirement estimates on assigned projects, manage design change within Project budget and schedule frame work, effective interaction with client engg team, Ensure compliance with the work scope etc. Excellent communication skills. Quality Assurance - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system Safety - Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. The work schedule will be 7 days per week, 9.5 hours per day with a 3 month on/2 weeks off rotation. |
RequirementsRequirementsBasic Qualifications Key qualifications for this position include: Essential Skills/Experience Degree in Mechanical Engineering relevant field. At least 10 years in pipeline system design and engineering in consultancy organisations. Sound experience in Conceptual, FEED, Detailed Engineering and Procurement of pipelines system encompassing pipeline design engineering tasks. Experience for Industry standard codes and analysis softwares. Ability and willingness to meet agreed deadlines. Well developed report writing skills.
