Description and Desired Qualifications Key basic function and scope includes: Evaluate piping engineering execution portions of project against the P&ID’S, Isometric, and Data Sheets etc... to ensure the EPC Contractor is in compliance with project expectations. Review engineering schedule relative to piping work to ensure completeness, proper organization of work activities, and reasonableness of time frames and ensure that the associated planning is able to meet the project requirements. Monitor EPC contractor’s performance in accordance with the detailed engineering schedule and ensure that where needed corrective actions are taken to deliver the work in accordance with the project schedule requirements. Review and approve the list of piping deliverables, and monitor and ensure the timely submission of these deliverables. Ensure all piping deliverables are reviewed and comments/approvals issued in accordance with the specified time frames. Ensure all piping design aspects are as per the consultant’s agreements. Monitor and bring to the engineering manager’s attention any conflicts between specified codes and standards and provide recommendations to resolve conflicts. Fully understand the company HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to area of responsibility. Ensures that work under control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Review and provide required comments on equipments datasheets and drawings. Review & approve provide required comments on Technical Specifications and Mechanical Data Sheets. Review all technical submissions, other end users on behalf of the EPC Contractor for crossing agreement approvals. Generate and develop reports as required and provide input into weekly meetings. RequirementsRequirementsKey qualifications for this position include: A bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university. 10-15 years post graduate experience in design & development of capital projects in the oil/gas industry at senior level. Work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment. Good command of written and spoken English |
