Job description / Role
The holder of this role will be responsible for determining and developing the most suitable method and sequence of construction activities in conjunction with the Project Manager to ensure that the project is completed timely, safely and on budget.
He will be involved throughout the development stages, to oversee and estimate a timescale for the project and to ensure that the outlined deadlines are met, also he will work closely with site engineers to ensure the project runs on schedule and material supplies are sufficient.
Key responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain multiple level schedules ,resource and cost loaded schedules in order to ensure project control mechanisms are in place.
- Monitor progress and performance by using primavera P6,8.3 software.
- Study and analyze BOQ, Project drawings, contract and specifications.
- Assists the Project Controls Manager in establishing accurate and complete project progress, cost reporting and project controls deliverables at regular Intervals.
- Conduct weekly visit to site to observe, discuss and check the factors hindering progress in order to take corrective actions on time.
- Forecasts completion dates and final performance & Earned value analysis.
- Controlling and monitoring all work done by subcontractors and leading a team of Junior Engineers.
- Assists project team in resolution of issues involving cost, schedule, claims & changes.
- Delay Analysis & EOT Claims evaluation & Reporting to Planning manager.
- Applying risk analysis using Primavera Risk Management and give mitigations for those risks.
- Directing, monitoring and coordinating all type of construction works and activities.
- Establish recovery plan for slipped activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering is a must.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in Roads and Highways projects.
- Thorough knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential.
- Experience and demonstrated skill in overall project reporting activities.
- Knowledgeable of current industry and technical development
