Senior Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

Parsons, a leader in many diverse markets such as infrastructure, transportation, water, telecommunications, aviation, commercial, environmental, planning, industrial manufacturing, education, healthcare, life sciences and homeland security is currently looking for a Senior Planning Engineer in Muscat, Oman.

Main Responsibilities

• Provides overall Subject Matter Expertise on all matters related to scheduling and schedule performance for major program consisting of multiple projects.
• Provides project management consultation on factors affecting the timely completion of projects.
• Performs special analysis for resource and cost loading and performance progress.
• Analyzes drawings, specifications and statements of work in the preparation of activity networks for project resource planning and scheduling.
• Maintains Program Master Schedule and performs critical path analysis including management of program to program interfaces and milestones.
• Prepares plans and schedules, status reports and performance evaluations.
• Analyzes progress reports against the schedule.
• Develops and maintains summary manpower estimates, equipment and material delivery requirements (compilation, analysis and summary via CMAs).
• Maintains liaison with the project and the field for schedule revision and update.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and a minimum of 10 - 15 years demonstrated experience in scheduling on complex major infrastructure programs with multiple projects and interfaces.
• Must be able to leverage experience and expertise to provide value add services including independent analysis, recommendations, and solutions to Senior Management.
• Must be a self starter with strong attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be a proficient / expert level operator of Primavera P6.7 (and future versions)
