Senior Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

- Prepare, review and submit for approval of Baseline Schedule with manpower, machinery & material resource planning
- Prepare, review & monitor the Construction schedule and recommend necessary remedial actions to be taken.
- Ensure that work schedules are in accordance with Master Program & the requirements of the Contract. Monitors & reports issues on potential delays & matters affecting the progress of construction
- Liaise with Consultant & Client on project planning & attend review meetings.
- Analyze potential delays & recommend preventive measures to avoid or minimize delay to project completion
- Monitors actual project progress and report deviations against plan, if any
- Prepare variance reports for Equipment and Manpower usage & suggest corrective actions.
- Prepared daily, weekly and monthly project control reports and tracking of construction progress.
- Monitors site operation and completion of project deliverables
- Assist in the review of project close-out documents: As- Built Plans, Occupancy Permits, Equipment Manuals and Tests Report, Financial Closure and Project Hand Over.
- Good communication skills in English is a must & knowledge of Arabic preferred, but not essential.

Requirements

- Professional Civil Engineer having at least 10-12 years extensive work experience in planning out of which 5-7 years mainly in road and bridges construction dealing with Construction Project Management, Job Site Operation, Forensic Delay Analysis, EOT Claims evaluation, Project Planning, Scheduling, budgeting and Cost Control.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Equivalent
- Extensive Training in Construction Management Resource Planning / Scheduling and Supervision
- Proficient in Forensic Delay Analysis, Baseline Schedule review & Extension of Time claims evaluation
- Proficient in Technical Report Writing, correspondence and submittals including bid and contract documentation and progress report
- Proficient with computer & planning softwares such as Primavera Enterprise Project Management v.6, Microsoft Office & MS Project 2010, AutoCAD 2008
