Senior Plant & Equipment Manager

Job description / Role

Equipment
- Repair and maintenance for all heavy and light equipment in the project.
- Ensure preventative maintenance and repairs of all equipment to minimize downtime.
- Monitor all the spare parts order and ensure the best quality with the best price.
- Manage spare parts store and insure it is being issued correctly.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with mechanics, generates purchase orders for repairs and/or required maintenance.
- Prepare management reporting as required.
- Issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and accounting system.
- Monitors and tracks equipment on a daily basis by job site, type and usage.
- Distribution for equipment on site as per the site engineers and construction managers request.

Plants
- Lead plant production and maintenance personnel in day to day activities to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Ensure preventative maintenance and repairs of all material handling systems and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Follow up on all concrete and/or asphalt equipment and ensure no breakdown
- Prepare reports and submit to cost control.
- Ensure availability of special spare parts to avoid long period breakdowns.

Requirements

- BSc Mechanical Engineering
- 10 years experience
- Experience in setting PPM schedules
- Experience with heavy construction machinery such as cranes, diggers, generators etc
- Must have previous experience within a construction company
