CH2M HILL Senior Power Specialist Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose:

Role: To lead FEED (Basic Engineering) / Detailed Engineering effort of Simple / Combined Cycle Power Projects and design Review of Combined Cycle Power Plants / IWPPs as part of Owner's Engineer Role and Consultancy Services

Project: FEED / Detailed Engineering Projects and Owner's Engineer Projects

Job Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

The key responsibilities / accountabilities of the position are as follows:

Senior Power Specialist to lead the FEED / Detailed Engineering effort of large Combined Cycle projects
Lead a team of Engineers from multidiscpline in delivering the Engineering scope of the Project and work closely with the EPC Contractor and PMC / OE Consultant
Experience on Power Block design including GTG, HRSG, STG Plant Equipment of IPP/IWPP model to work as Technical Advisor / Development Engineer during the development phase of the Project with knowledge on Plant optimization and configuration, Plant performance modeling, EPC bid review
Experience on design review and overall engineering review management og IPP/IWPP Projects in the Middle East Region as Owner's Engineer in leading the team of Engineers from multidiscipline and co-ordination with the EPC Contractor and the Client
Maagement of the overall Project engineering scope and budget
Liaison with the EPC Contractor / Client on schedule and engineering
Experience in Feasibility Studies, Due-diligence studies of combined cycle power plants.

Requirements

Degree / Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
More than 15 years experience in similar role
Proven track record with Engineering Consultants in similar position on Power related projects with a strong background and knowledge on Combined Cycle Power Projects
Presentational and communication skills required and proven through interfaces with a wide range of functions and with all management levels
Computer competence
