Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To be an integral member of the Operations Team and principally responsible, as an Area Authority under the Control of Work System, for the control of all work at the remote Well Pads as well as the Compressor Facility and Camp areas. Carry out role of AA in line with BP's COW standards ensuring that all work takes place safely and that energy isolations are controlled. The position will be responsible for interfacing with various other disciplines within the Field and also vendors coming to Site to perform work. To enable this to happen the successful candidate will require to have the technical knowledge to underpin this responsibility. Also support the commissioning of future tie-ins to the BP Extended Well Testing (EWT) surface facilities. Carry out preparation of the facilities and execute the safe start-up.

Accountable to the On Site Manager (OSM) for the safe and reliable operation of the EWT facility. Ensuring this meets with BP safety and design standards.

Isolating Authority under BP's Energy Isolation Procedures

Coaching and assessing peers and regional technicians in both COW and Technical areas

Carry out auditing across a wide range of areas (PTW/ICC/Procedures, LO/LC, overrides, etc)

Promoting and leading continuous improvement projects

Play a key role in plan attainment

Requirements

High School Diploma

Delivery focus

Excellent interpersonal skills with proven success working in multi-disciplinary teams

Supervising contractors

Control of Work proficiency

People competence and development

Maintenance and integrity management

Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic

A minimum of 7 years experience in operations/maintenance in similar relevant role
