Job description / Role

Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain and Procurement you will be responsible for 2 direct team members and supporting the development and implementation of the procurement function. Qualified candidates must have at least 7-10 years of in depth EPC type multidiscipline experience with jacket & topside construction and/or MODU design & construction and/or petrochemical or refinery projects
The minimum necessary experience qualifications for the position would be:
• Oil & gas packaged equipment and multi-discipline purchasing experience covering all principal disciplines of;
Structural, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, F&G, HVAC, Piping, Safety, Architectural, Drillling
Sample equipment range required will be:
pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, Integrated control and safety system (ICSS), wellhead control panels, pedestal cranes, HVAC systems, telecommunication packages, Switchboards, primary process & test separators, flow meters, valves, control valves, instrumentation devices, fire & gas system, cables, pipes & fittings, chemical injection packages, pig launcher/catchers, prime movers, electrical motors.
• Familiarity with international vendors supplying the above equipment as well as their local agents in the UAE
• Familiarity with UAE local suppliers
• Familiarity with all purchasing processes from the receipt of purchase requisition to final delivery, technical and commercial bid evaluation, order placement, expediting, spare parts handling, warranty and equipment documentation, operations & maintenance manuals, preservation processes
• Ability to communicate with his/her counterpart within the organization, attend and contribute in progress and other project related meetings with in-house, vendor, client and regulatory agency representatives.
• Excellent reporting and project management skills
• Ability to be a part of project team with especial attention to the execution of definitive project policies and processes.
• Ability to communicate with professional English skills and any other languages as may be available
Requirements
Experience Required
Experience in offshore structures, Jack Up Rigs and Oil & Gas packaged equipment.
Experience in managing, mentoring and directing team members
Experience in Procurement transformation will be a distinct advantage
Managed AED50-100m Annual Procurement spend
Knowledge of local and International Suppliers
In depth experience with ISO 9001/14000/18001 QHSE systems
Skills Required
Excellent reporting and Project Management skills
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication & leadership skills
Strong ethics and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
Capability to build and develop effective Supplier relationships
Ability to communicate with professional English skills and any other languages as may be available.
Knowledge of ERP management system
