Senior Procurement Officer - UAE National

Job description / Role

On behalf of our client, a leading semi-government organization in Abu Dhabi we are seeking an Emirati Senior Procurement Officer. The incumbent will be tasked with executing and overseeing the procurement function of the company and manage supplier relationships in a professional way.

You will work closely with Finance department team members and manage day-to-day procurement processes are adhered to and work towards improving procurement performance.

Responsibilities:
- Review contracts, RFP, RFQ and benchmark for win-win suppliers to be enlisted in Preferred Supplier log
- Negotiates best cost, quality and delivery schedule in accordance with approved policies and procedures
- Tracks, manages and oversees newly received procured items
- Develops and maintains long-term relationships with vendors, monitors and liaises with suppliers and their performance
- Ensures all purchases adhere to approved budget

Requirements

- 1 year procurement experience and good understanding of procurement process
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent English and Arabic, UAE national
- Excellent presentation, organizational and reporting skills a must
