Job Description

Review in agreement with drilling department- the well design and architecture that will be used on future wells.
Review existing data and plan and recommend additional data acquisition (if required).
For each well architecture/design and sensitivity analyses, prepare and provide the required vertical flow performance tables (Pipesim/Prosper) to include them into the reservoir simulation.
Obtain short term forecasts -from analytical methods (such as MBAL)- of well productivity based on its architecture and design. Align results with Reservoir Engineers.
Provide support to reservoir engineers for simulation and well testing.
Investigate and propose remedial actions for wax/paraffin/asphaltenes problems.
Initiate, develop and monitor producers and water disposal/injection wells
Collaborate with concept/process engineers to provide technical input into the development plan for facilities upgrade.
Evaluate and monitor separators efficiency and metering systems.
Perform or review back allocations.

Requirements

Education, Experience & Skills Required

B.Sc. degree in Petroleum Production Engineering or equivalent
Prior experience is mandatory in well related activities, including artificial lift methods, vertical flow performance, IPR/TPR, etc.
Field experience is preferred.
Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams is a big plus.
Have more than 8 years of oil or gas field development of experience, at least 4 years field experience on production engineering related activities.
Knowledge of reservoir management concepts and dedicated software, such as: Pipe sim/Prosper, Saphir, MBAL, etc.
Have the ability to engage in the main works as well as cooperates with other disciplines
Able to monitor, analyze and report on well performance. Prepare Vertical Flow Performance (VFP) tables to be integrated within the simulation model.
Ability to Investigate and propose remedial actions for flow assurance (e.g., wax, paraffin, asphaltenes problems); initiate, develop and monitor producers and water disposal/injection.
Can evaluate Artificial Lift (A/L) methods to be used on KEC fields worldwide
Must perform duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
