Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Working as Senior Project Architect - Healthcare, you will be responsible for overseeing this prestigious hospital project as well as the entire design process on multi-disciplinary projects or assisting as a technical expert on specialized designs. Projects are varied and may include commercial, residential, tall tower and mixed-use developments. This position is a vital and integral part of our Design Division.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:
- Assessing the requirements of a project, including determining scope of work, budget and staffing and continuously monitor production and output to achieve project objectives.
- Thorough knowledge of construction materials, standards and codes in reviewing documents in various phases for design intent and a good understanding of architectural quality.
- Managing large complex/Healthcare projects from design through construction document production and construction administration with a multi-disciplined team.
- In conjunction with the Project Manager coordinate the preparation of specifications in accordance with the design documents and project brief.
- Assigning, coordinating and reviewing work of project design team, including assessing progress against goals and identifying change of scope or additional services.
- Coordinating design submittals to various governmental agencies for obtaining required approvals and /or permits.
- Reviewing construction budgets based on experience and project scope.
- Assisting in the education and development of design staff and acting as resource for design questions.
- Maintaining positive client relationships and professional firm image.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture with a minimum of 15 years of related work experience.
- A practical knowledge and understanding of British HTM & HBN guidelines and standards is essential.
- Membership of a professional Architectural Association such as RIBA or AIA is preferred.
- Prior experience gained within a Consultancy environment in the Gulf Region is advantageous.
