The Role


The Role


Carries out the preparation and finalization of project budgets, projects planning and scheduling. Manages schedule and cost risk assessment sessions and develops risk simulation models to mitigate/monitor/manage project schedule and & cost risk. Develops the Project Master Schedule for all the FED Managed Projects covering all stages of the project life-cycle. i.e., Conceptual, FEED, Construction and Commissioning. Monitors the Cost and Schedule and reports on the performance for all FED Managed Schemes. Support Project Teams in the finalization of the Project Strategy, Project execution, contact administration, claims and close out reports. Carries out management reporting and liaison with CPLD, FD, CMD, Internal and External auditors.

*Analyses the planning packages , progress measurement and reporting procedure, projects detailed programme, PERT network diagrams,
S-Curves, resource deployment plans, micro-schedules for shutdown activities and variation impact on schedule for all FED Projects. Prepares overall project master planning programme for each Team Leader managed projects. Prepares overall offshore barge plan for all JV Major Projects. Analyses project schedule and forecast the schedule impact resulting from various types of changes. Analyses and review the schedule impact claims for project. Prepares/reviews recovery plans variations and contingency plans.

*Prepares and reviews the budget forms for new projects and project cost revision sheets for changes to existing budgets. Participates in the evaluation of the bid process and provide advice to the Project Teams on the contract awards. Assists the projects teams in evaluating, reviewing and analyzing the cost documents.

*Identifies potential schedule and cost risk events. Evaluate risk events and ranking of schedule and cost risks to projects. Develop Risk Assessment simulation models using computer software packages ""PREDICT"" & ""BRISK"". Analyses and forecast schedule and estimated final costs of the projects for various confidence levels.

*Reviews and analyses Contractors Method Statement for construction activities, quality plans, and pre-qualifications documents for Vendors/Contractors. Controls the reporting requirements for all projects Monitors and controls commitments and ensures adherence to budget estimates.

*Participates in preparation of tender documents, reviews/prepares Technical and Commercial Evaluation Reports of the Bids. Prepare/review incentive contracts and evaluate contractors' performance and benchmarking of procurement activities. Reviews and analyses the claims and negotiates with contractors on settlement and financial close out. Reviews procurement strategies and procedures.

Requirements

*B.Sc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

*10+ years experience in planning and scheduling of capital projects of which a minimum of 4 years within the oil industry.

*Good knowledge of English.
