Employment: Full Time

Reporting to the Block-61 Manager, the Sr. Project Engineer is accountable for the safe execution and operations of the Block-61 gas field plant and infra-structure.

To work with partner(s) and take responsibility of:

• Overall management and responsibility of Block-61 facilities and infrastructure project management and surface engineering
• Accountable for the Block-61 facilities project and ensuring quality decisions are made, technical aspects of the facilities are sound and the project is executed with excellence
• Develop facilities plans and associated communications documents
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
• Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
• Ensure the scoping and project plans are in line with Block-61 business needs while ensuring that the delivery risks and issues are managed appropriately
• Identification and communication of critical risk as well as mitigation measures
• Set up and prepare for the operations phase of the project
• Mentor and coach junior engineering, operations and projects staff

Requirements

• Minimum qualifications required for this position is Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
• A minimum of 8+ years’ upstream Oil & Gas experience, with significant experience in project engineering and project management
• Formal project management qualifications
• The ability to manage reporting to the key business stakeholders with progress updates, and the management of their expectations
• Proven experience and background with managing and delivering projects within the set timeframes and budgets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Business analysis and consulting experience, to develop requirement documents and specifications
• Ability to work within a collaborative working environment and ensure a ‘win-win’ solution for all parties
• Knowledge of, and experience in, Concept Selection, FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning activities
• Able to lead and coordinate a project team, maintaining focus on key project deliverables: Design, Procurement, Construction, Health & Safety, and Quality
• Good level of IT literacy including Word, Excel and others
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple interfaces
• Well organized, methodical, accountable and pro-active
• Ability to perform under demanding circumstances
• Creates team atmosphere to generate highly motivated team performance
• Excellent communications skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Analytical and problem solving skills
