Senior Project Engineer

Job description / Role

- Responsible for execution of specific engineering projects
- Works on two to three Engineering projects simultaneously, covering phases from FEED through to construction/commissioning and handover
- Sets detailed project schedules and coordinates the activities of external contractors and internal resources to best meet schedule and expenditure objectives
- Planning and managing of budgets related to the related projects
- Manage the design process and ensure quality in design and construction
- Managing contracts, by acting as contract holder during project execution.
- Maintain transparent records, feedbacks and reports on the Projects status thoroughly, and closure of Projects.
- Manage Annual Plans/expenditures related to the budget and the workloads and execution of the assigned projects.
- Drive the HSE and Quality aspects during the Projects execution and ensure the compliance during the life circle of the project delivery including the Introduction of Hydrocarbon.
- As required, generates specific tender documents and work scopes, and evaluates specific tenders to support and expedite the Engineering work program
- Ensure the implementation of the most cost effective contracting strategy, generation of tender documents and initiation of the technical tendering process for construction and materials procurement, Co-ordination of technical procurement and construction
- Coast based (Muscat), but with frequent trips to Daleel site (450km West of Muscat)

Requirements

- 8-10 years of experience with minimum 4 years in oil and gas industry preferably with a reputed oil and gas company in Middle East
- Knowledge of Oman materials and equipment suppliers would be highly regarded
- Experience of pipelines (in particular GRE) and flowlines projects will be preferred
Gas Concept and Optimization Consultant shall:
- holding the following course or certificates mandatory to work in the oil field:
- H2S
- HSE
- Defensive Driving
