Senior Project Manager - Residential - Commercial Portfolio - CFC - AFGRE - Cairo, Egypt

We are seeking to hire a Senior Project Manager within Cairo Festival City team, whom will manage all Portfolio projects scope starting from construction stage up to practical completion; and minimize exposure and risk across multiple projects, your responsibilities will include and not limited to the following:
- Assist Development Managers during the pre-construction stages on general constructibility and overall feasibility of each project.
- Participate in performing the value engineering before and along the construction phase in coordination with Design Management team and other Portfolio members.
- Oversee all contracts up to and including practical completion ensuring that contractual obligations are met by all parties involved and establishing mechanisms for dealing with any contractual issues.
- Supervise final inspections to ensure final products are satisfactory and compliance with handing over procedures.
- Direct the Construction Consultants by monitoring and controlling their performance regarding budget, time and quality in coordination with other Portfolio teams; and supervising the Contractor works, reviewing submittals, responding to queries, inspecting the progress and reviewing payment requests...etc to avoid the Contractors claims.
- Improve the work environment by enhancement the communications between the Engineer and the Contractor assuring smooth cooperation and coordination between them and supply further information to the Contractor as and when reasonably required.
- Perform regular site visits of work to ensure compliance with design requirements, specification and highlight deviations to AFGRE Project managers to develop / monitor corrective actions.
- Ensure the quality and Health/Safety standards are adhered to and the Quality and HSE Plans are strictly implemented on all projects.
- Approve the payment requests of Engineers and Contractors and interface with the Commercial Management team for payment applications, change management, Contract Administration.
- Interface with the Planning Management team for EOT evaluation; projects schedules; Progress reporting; and Program management by monitoring progress on Site compared to the approved base line schedule and investigate with the Consultant, Contractor reasons for delay (if any) and agree on corrective actions.
- Interface with the Planning, Commercial and Legal Management teams to review claims.
- Oversee the changes management in coordination with AFGRE Commercial, Design and Development teams to drive the required decision for each proposed change.
- Routinely attend Portfolio projects progress meetings with the Consultants and Contractors teams and supervise the coordination with all AFGRE teams and with anyone and everyone who is involved with the Portfolio projects for any required actions in order not to affect progress.
- Oversee compliance with requirements for authorities in coordination with Design Management Team and other AFGRE concerned departments.
- Coordinate with AFGRE Team to unify the information concerning the tenant modifications and special requirements before and after the handing over.
- Interface with Operations team to develop O&M Plan.
- Assist Development Managers during the pre-construction stages on general constructability and overall feasibility of each project.

Requirements

- B. Sc. in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Engineering, relevant postgraduate studies is a plus such as PMP.
- 15 years of experience with at least 5 years in Construction Management position.

Job-Specific Skills:
- Arabic and English proficiency is a must.
- Professional skills in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Project Management softwares.
- Hands on Primavera.
