The RoleThe RoleJob Purpose: To coordinate and procure all capital items included in the annual budget plan at the best price and in a timely manner consistent with the budget. In addition and of equal importance, to oversee all tenant fitout (after original opening) on an annual basis to ensure the MALL maintains the latest in world class retail designs. |
RequirementsRequirementsKey Tasks: Pre Opening 1. To identify, gather competitive quotes and procure all equipment and supplies of a capital nature to ensure the successful initial operation of the centre. 2. To investigate the potential for the sharing of all equipment of a capital nature between the various GROUP companies operating in the Mall of the Emirates. 3. To oversee the design and planning of all capital items in the centre, including but not limited to public seating, customer service booths, water features, vehicles and equipment and other items including a review of various manufacturers, negotiation of price and final recommendation for purchase to senior management. 1. Coordinate with the various departments the delivery and set up of all capital items required for a successful opening. 2. Setup a “life expectancy” timetable for all capital items for proper planning of capital budget in future years. 3. To identify and coordinate proper storage facilities for all capital items at Mirdif City Centre. 4. Coordinate with other departments and GROUP business units at Mirdif City Centre any capital works to ensure no interference with any of the GROUP businesses. 5. To act as the landlord representative during the tenant fitout process to control the common areas of the centre, including policing the service corridors and mall areas to prevent tenant contractors from using, damaging or interfering with the completion of the common areas. 6. Assist the Tenant Coordination Team and the GM-Operations in coordinating the move in of tenant goods, including scheduling of loading facilities, provision of temporary power, and other services, if required. 7. Oversee the coordination of the set-up of the Administration Office, including the delivery and commissioning of all furniture, equipment, IT system, phone system etc. 8. Oversee the coordination of the CCTV system, particularly with the set up of the control rooms to ensure the areas are properly furnished and functioning by the opening day. 9. Obtain any permits required from the DM on a timely basis to ensure all operators capital works are completed by opening day. |
