The post holder will be responsible for managing key General Hospitals Group (GHG) business activities and assigned programmes of work / projects from initiation and development through to execution and follow up. The position requires the post holder to be able to act within practices and procedures which have clear precedents and / or operational guidance. All business activities may require the post holder to think laterally requiring the identification and selection of solutions within the area of expertise and acquired knowledge.

Key activities will include:
- Project Management - project lead as directed, utilising MS project (or similar project planning methodology), and tracking progress to delivery
- Research, Investigation, Exploration - Data analysis & review, report development & production, presentation development & production
- Policy Analysis critiquing key national, organisational and Group policies, making recommendations where appropriate
- General Business Support - Performance Management, Strategy & Planning Representing the GHG in external and external meetings

In executing these duties the post holder will be required to manage all appropriate resources (time, budget, manpower etc.) effectively.

Specific Responsibilities

Support the Group Chief in:
- Delivering key corporate Organisational Development programmes as and when required
- Delivering key business reports and presentations working across the Group, organisation and with external partners as required.

Support the Group AED in delivering and managing:
- The programme of work emanating from external liaison activities with the Primary Health Care Corporation
- The corporate response delivering a healthcare solution at the New Doha International Airport, and other similar corporate projects
- The effective running of the GHG Management Committee, driving forward the work emanating from this forum to completion.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in management, healthcare administration or a related field with a specialization in business preferred
- Preferred: Masters degree in business, management, healthcare administration or related field is desirable
- Certification: Certification in project management is desirable
- 5+ years of business experience in complex: public or commercial sector organisations; and/or a health care organisation, 5+ years experience of managing large and multiple complex programmes of work
- Must be fluent in English both written and verbal, An understanding of Arabic is desirable

Must be proficient in the use and understanding of the following:
- MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint in particular) Excellent proficiency
- MS Outlook - Excellent proficiency
