Senior Project Manager

Job description / Role

Our client is one of the largest British based, international Project Management Consultancies that operates globally. They work on some of the most exciting development projects, spanning every sector.

They are seeking to employ a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to work as a Senior Project Manager on a major mixed-use development in Oman.

The development is situated west of Muscat City and is stretched along the coastline. The project (which is surrounded by stunning mountainous backdrops and pristine beaches) includes hotels, residential properties, a golf course, a marina and retail outlets.

You will be seconded into the developers construction team managing design finalisation and post contract construction activities on the iconic development.

The main job specifications are as follows:

• Report to the Area Manager and Project Director and act as a component part of the developer’s management team

• Monitor all work executed, at all stages, to ensure that an accurate and professional service is offered

• Actively seek and implement policies to improve the client’s return and value

• Ensure that contractual deliverables are produced and issued on time and in compliance with the clients requirements

• Create a positive and proactive approach that drives the whole of the team

• Co-ordinate and nurture teamwork between all project stakeholders

• Ensure suitable administration of all contracts is undertaken by the development team

• Provide regular and accurate reports on the project progress, costs and quality as determined by the Business Manager

Requirements

• A technical degree qualification, ideally linked to project or construction management

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar position within the consultancy/construction industry

• At least 2 years work experience within the Middle East

• At least 5 years of experience of managing construction projects in a leading PM function

• Experience in Residential and Leisure projects

• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English

• Ability to liaise with a wide variety of staff and Clients at all levels

• Good knowledge of construction techniques and terminology

If you possess all the required skills, our client is offering a package equivalent to AED 42,000 a month (basic salary, accommodation allowance, car allowance and flight allowance).
