My Client is a leading Developer in Muscat, Oman working on one of the countrys iconic Real Estate developments. They have an opening for an exceptional Senior Project Manager to join their team in Muscat overseeing numerous projects.

Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Senior Project Manager is capable of encompassing all elements of a specific multiple contracts to ensure that they are designed procured and delivered to the satisfaction of the business.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a range of development components, which may change from time to time as determined and could include Infrastructre (Marine, Utilities, Roads, Public Realm, Flood Prevention, Waterways & Beach Protection), Residential (Apartments, Villas, Duplexes) and/or Mixed Use (Retail and Commercial, Hospitality, Education, Healthcare and Leisure Facilities).

- Responsible for managing multiple projects from initiation and development through to delivery and operational handover
- Manages input to the development process and assists with the preparation of development feasibility studies, concept master planning etc. to develop initial briefing requirements for Consultants.
- Development of the procurement strategy for the delivery of the specified components, both in terms of design, construction and where applicable, operation and maintenance companies.
- Responsible for Cost Management of the respective project(s) with respect to Cost Planning, cost reporting, change management and Contract Close out in liaise with the Commercial Team.
- Responsible for providing progress reports and information to Senior Management Team
- Responsible for developing Project Management staff allocated within their team with the aim of enhancing the Omani skill base within the department.
- Responsible for managing the process of statutory approvals whether through the Client or Consultant.
- Responsible for providing detailed reports on all project matters including establishing and implementing detailed Project Execution Plans
- Responsible for close liaison with all government and municipal authorities and other 3rd party stakeholders
- Manage the procurement of Consultant teams to complete the design work, in coordination with the Commercial Department.
- Undertake design management of the project(s).
- Coordinate the input of all necessary Departments, including but not limited to Facilities Management, Customer Services, and Asset Management.
- Identifies and defines methods of design, contract procurement and delivery.
- Identification and management of risk assessment throughout the lifetime of the project(s).
- Responsible for championing value management and value engineering to optimize the end product.
- Ability to identify full cycle opportunities ensuring the design, procurement, supply chain and delivery of new solutions is ensured before implementation.
- Identifies opportunities for developing existing techniques and replacing them with more effective solutions.
- Responsible for the management of multiple projects throughout the contract duration ensuring that the contract is delivered satisfactorily. Manages all contractor interfaces.
- Responsible for managing all Contract Administration.
- Manages the construction/design team to ensure the contract is delivered to the original design intent.
- Identifies areas of risk and opportunity within Contracts and manages the process of these to resolution.
- Responsible for the Cost Management of projects establishing budgets and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget
- Responsible for the development of a close out and handover strategy and the management thereof, ensuring seamless transition between the Delivery Team and the Facility and Asset Management Teams.

Requirements

- Minimum Degree Educated Degree preferred in Civil Engineering / Building / Project Management Professional Qualification (PMP/PMI/CIOB/MICE or similar) advantageous
- 15 Years experience in building projects encompassing Infrastructure, Residential, Mixed-use.
- 10 Years Project management experience
- Arabic language and advantage. Good written & spoken English essential.
- Experience of working against set targets, service levels and quality levels.
- Experience of managing multiple contractors and/or delivery based teams

Prerequisites
Senior Managers are all-round members and leaders by example, expected to be able to manage all aspects of project work from initiation to operation. A Senior Manager may be a specialist but is expected to have a good understanding of all project types and disciplines.
