Due to growth and expansion, we are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to be based in Dubai for work in Iraq for an international oil company.

Responsibilities:
•Ensure that the company/project QA/QC procedures are implemented and ensure that the project team is well informed, motivated and working effectively and efficiently.
•Keep project on schedule, keep control of man-hours/overtime, keep track of efficiency/productivity, issue weekly and monthly reports, maintain project files, monitor extra work and claims, compile close-out report for total project and oversee archiving of project files.
•Will be responsible for managing either a single, large project or several medium/small projects as appointed by the General Manager.
•They will be responsible to the General Manager for the successful execution of his assigned project(s) and for their profitability.
•They will have direct control of the manpower on his project(s) and shall liaise directly with the Discipline Principal Engineers for manning and de-manning of technical staff.
They shall be the Company’s main interface with Client for the projects and ensure that all reasonable requests are met.
They will have the authority to negotiate and sign on behalf of the company in areas connected with his projects.As a senior staff member, the Senior Project Manager will be expected to undertake some duties, which are not necessarily associated with a particular project. These could include:
- Recruitment visits overseas.
- Proposal management.
- Business development visits and/or presentations.
- Any other adhoc duties as assigned from time to time.
•Maintain standards of HSE and comply with Company’s Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements.
•Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
•Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements

Requirements

•A Bachelor's degree in Engineering in any discipline (as appropriate).
•Minimum of 12 to 15 Years work experience as a Site Engineer/Project Manager/Project Engineer.
•Knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
•Good communication, leadership and negotiation skills.
•Excellent MS Office computer skills plus MS Project or Primavera.
•Project Management theory.
•A Masters in Business Management or Certifications in Project Management would be beneficial.
