Job description / Role
In-house PR firm, providing clients a full range of services from strategic consultancy to message creation and production to monitoring and evaluation are currently hiring a Senior Project Manager to join their Dubai office.
The Senior Project Manager will be expected to contribute to securing revenue flows to the company based on agreed upon targets for the region. This will include the following tasks
In collaboration with the General Manager, develop a detailed business plan for the Gulf region;
Continuously identify new business opportunities, identifying new client and opportunities, following up with proposal writing and submission;
Conduct regular analysis of competitors, and suggest strategic changes to increase competitive advantages;
Maintain relationships with donors, clients and government officials.
Close implementation and monitoring of allocated projects with particular emphasis to specific activities described in the contractual documents and the project proposals;
Oversee project procurement and logistics activities with administrative support personnel;
Monitor and advise on risks to project implementation and make recommendations for risk mitigation measures as required;
Daily financial management of client resources in accordance with the approved budget;
Ensure the timely execution of administrative procedures for the project including reporting, updating the client, contractual amendments etc.;
Ensure that project deadlines are met and manage personnel in order to achieve the results expected by the client, and ensure potential amendments requested by the client are delivered;
Requirements
A thorough knowledge and understanding of political and social context of the Middle East, especially the Gulf region
A thorough knowledge and understanding of donor and government funding mechanisms for the Middle East
Computer literate, especially in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Arabic.
Excellent ability to build relationships.
Cross cultural empathy
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in communications or PR role
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project execution, coordination or management
Developed network of media contacts across the MENA region
Developed network of donor and government contacts across the MENA region
Experience managing budgets and meeting financial targets
Experience in business development / program development, liaising with clients/donors in order to win new business or mobilize resources to fund projects, especially with proposal writing.
