An exciting opportunity for a proven Senior Projects Director to join one of the most respected and largest diversified conglomerates in the Middle East. Reporting directly to the CEO, the key responsibility is to provide leadership as a key advisor to the management team within Afghanistan.

Job Description

This position is stationed in Afghanistan, however many of the companies FMCG businesses operate in the Middle East areas, so candidates must be prepared to travel as required.
• The candidate will be the “go to” person for all the operations, systems and management decisions within his country of responsibility.
• Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities.
• Manages the direction of technical factors through the design and implementation in accordance with project objectives.
• The successful candidate will contribute ideas and operational expertise to the smooth operations
• Establish best practice procedures
• Implement/design systems & processes
• Enhance service levels for all parties
• Prepare financial and/or operational analyses and reports
• Audits procedures to monitor and improve efficiency of operations
• Provides strategic leadership to the operation
• Looks at business development for profitable new ventures
• Oversee the efficient utilization of talent - manpower, resources and development

Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience
• The successful candidate should have high level qualifications preferably from a FMCG, Military and/or Logistics background.
• Senior Project Management experience is essential
• Experience in facilitation skills and people management skills, communication, negotiation and teamwork skills in cross-cultural environments.
• Highly motivated person who is able to operate autonomously in a remote environment as part of their senior management team.
• Good English communication skills
