Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Ensure quality assurance and implement quality control plans as per project requirements and contractors/clients expectation.
2. Troubleshoot problems, identify root cause, provide acceptable solutions and implement those solutions to achieve objectives of the project.
3. Plan and coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities following Project Quality Plan, in line with national and international quality norms /rules /regulations.
4. Supervise working of quality related service providers and inspectors.
5. Review and approve documentation reports, contractor audits and other official reports to keep as final records.
6. Perform and coordinate quality inspections at site, subcontractors and vendors shops and co-ordinate with owner third party inspection contractor.
7. Coordinate all Non Destructive Testing on site.
8. Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors and review and approve all quality related documents.
9. Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
10. Ensure that all quality control documentation is compiled and completed. Ensure As-Built document hand over.
11. Perform regular Audits on contractors quality systems and implement suitable correct measures to meet project requirements and specifications
12. Control all Non Conformance Reports and undertake remedial action

Requirements

Functional Knowledge:
- Relevant experience in Refinery / Petrochemical for Senior Engineer
- 10 years for Omani candidate and 15 years for Non-Omani candidate
- Knowledge of MS Office applications / discipline related software
- Experience in monitoring and coordinating activities of Consultants and EPC contractors
- Fully conversant with international / local codes, standards and statutory regulations and quality procedures and best practices connected with the discipline

Leadership and Interpersonal:
- Proven effectiveness in analysis execution, delivering results, promotion of team work required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer orientation.
- Ability to lead and implement the Contractors quality systems.

Language:
- Has good English communication skills
