Senior Quality Controller (Technical) - Qatar

Our client is a global network of sports channels with headquarters across the Middle East, France, Indonesia and the US is currently undergoing significant executive talent growth given its formation in 2012. The firm currently operates and provides services across the Middle East, North Africa, France, USA, Indonesia, Canada, Hong Kong and Thailand. The Executive Team are now looking to recruit a Senior Quality Controller for their Technical Monitoring Team to be responsible for monitoring, analysing and delivering reports on the news output for the firm in compliance with the agreed technical standards.
Reporting to the Head of Technical Monitoring; this role is responsible for the following:
- Monitor the news channels output and assess it in compliance with the agreed technical standards including all related aspects of Operations, Engineering, and Creative.
- Produce daily reports on news coverage including qualitative and quantitative data.
- Conduct research on the stories/ issues in the channels coverage, utilizing the planning documents made available by the channel, to ensure informed and accurate monitoring.
- Participates in determining the dimensions of evaluation, i.e. topical, chronological, etc., on a regular basis.
- Participates in setting up, documenting and updating the technical standards in collaboration with the Technical Standards Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering, Media Production, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in TV news or related fields.
- Familiarity with academic media broadcast studies, world politics and knowledge of the workflow of news production.
- Experience in the MENA broadcasting sector is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and strong technical judgment, engineering or creative skills.
