Position Summary
The Senior Quality Improvement Reviewer is responsible for supporting hospital specific quality improvement through engaging staff at all levels across the organization in quality management, and through the effective monitoring of agreed QPS objectives.

Principal Accountabilities
- Supports the implementation of the Hospital specific Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
- Undertakes specific educational and coordination functions at the request of the Executive Director/Assist.
- Executive Director of Quality Improvement/QI manager.
- Acts upon appropriate and available data to support the monitoring of both performance initiatives and quality indicators across the hospital/PHC.
- Assist the QI team to establish hospital specific indicators in response to and in support of the JCI accreditation process.
- Communicate quality improvement opportunities as they are identified to hospital staff.
- Utilize information from significant event reporting to ensure that patterns and themes identified result in the application of quality improvement methodologies.
- Stays abreast of and applies knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and accreditation standards as they relate to performance improvement.
- Facilitate appropriate monitoring activities, data collection techniques and statistical tools.
- Attends/participates in educational events as necessary.
- Liaises with the Quality Management Department to implement identified performance improvement initiatives.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Director / Asst. Executive Director of QM Department
- Complies with the annual budget for the department

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field.
- Minimum 4 years experience of which 2 years experience in healthcare quality management.
- CPHQ certification preferred.

Language Skills: E
- English and Arabic preferred

Computer Skills:
- Proficient in computer applications (Windows, MS Office, databases etc), Programs, statistical packages, process design

Key Competencies:
- Integrated knowledge and understanding of Hospital Quality Management and improvement concepts, practices, systems, and procedures.
- Statistical tools and data analysis.
- Ability to supervise and train employees including organizing, prioritizing, an scheduling work assignments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
