Job description / Role
- Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs.
- Preparing, negotiating and analyzing costs for contracts.
- Advising on range of legal and contractual issues.
- Valuing completed work and arranging for payments.
- Preparing of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required materials.
- On-going analysis of maintenance and repair work
- Feasibility studies of client request
- Allocating upcoming work to contracts
- Site visit assessments and projections for future works.
Requirements
- A graduate of degree holder or equivalent degree for a quantity surveyor course. Electrical/Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
- Should have at least 5 years work experience in GCC countries with holding the same position.
- Practical and logical qualities and methodical way of thinking.
- A creative and innovative approach to problem solving
- Strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn sophisticated design and costing packages
- The ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
- Negotiating and a term-working skills and the ability to motivate and lead those on site.
- Detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, process, materials, business and legal matters.
