Turner & Townsend is recognized as one of the leading international cost & project management consultancies that specialise in the construction, infrastructure & natural resources industry.

We are looking for a Procurement Lead / Senior Quantity Surveyor (Pre-Contract) with considerable Procurement experience to take the lead in the day to day procurement activities of assigned contract packages for a prestigious project.

Summary:

Your role will comprise of the implementation of procurement strategies and the management of pre contract activities including technical & commercial evaluation reports, and the production of appropriate contract documents.

You will be responsible for the preparation of the tender documents ensuring that all required documentation from various departments is delivered on time and to the required quality.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Preparing and gaining approval of tender strategies for assigned contract packages

Preparing and gaining approval of prequalification documents, evaluation strategies and evaluation reports

Preparing the tender documents including managing the input of other project team members, such as Technical Services, Program Office, Commercial Office, Project Controls and Safety & Health

Gaining approval of tender documents and evaluation strategies

Issuing the tender documents to the Client's Project Team and for drafting any other communications required

Producing technical and commercial evaluation reports for the approval of the Client's Project Team

Drafting Letters of Intent and Notices to Proceed

Drafting Contract Documents for the approval of the Client's Project Team

Providing advice/assistance to the Client's Project Team for all pre award activities

Reporting on the procurement progress of assigned packages to the Senior Contracts/Procurement Manager

Contributing to the continuous improvement of pre award documentation and processes

Requirements

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL MEET ALL OF THE CRITERIA BELOW:

Chartered Surveyor / Engineer

Experience in major multi-disciplinary projects from either a rail and / or Civil Engineering background

Minimum 10 years experience from either a client, consulting or contracting background
