Job description / Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a Civil Engineering Consultancy on a Rail project in Indonesia.
The project involves a large expansion of an existing rail line to meet increasing capacity demands and therefore reduce travel times while in-turn improving standards of safety.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of QA/QC program for Consultancy
• Working with Contractor organization to confirm and approve their QA/QC program
• Checking and approval of quality and quantity of supplied materials for construction works
• Issuing of certificates for payment
• Evaluating change orders as required
• Involvement in the preparation of monthly progress reports
• Assisting with the preparation of technical reports
• Reviewing any required variations of contract and cost changes
• Flagging any contract issues to relevant stakeholders
Requirements
The successful candidate will be likely to have extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor (10+ years), including some time spent on Rail projects in diverse cultures. You will also be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a directly related discipline. In addition you will need to have excellent written and verbal English communication skills and an appreciation of working in multicultural environments.
