Employment: Full Time

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £55,000 to £67,000, dependent upon experience

Location: Doha, Qatar

Our client is based in the Middle East and for the last 30 years they have delivered some of the regions iconic construction projects. Due to this success our Client has been award several multi-million dollar infrastructure projects including Bridges / Expressways and Light Rail across the country.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for estimating, budgeting, cost control, cashflow and reporting. The successful candidates must have experience of designing high value projects within the Infrastructure - Roads - Highways - Bridges - Rail & Metro Sectors, as well as MRICS or an equivalent.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead a small team of Quantity Surveyors
* Preparation and maintenance of estimates, budgets, cost report and cashflows
* Budget allocation and tracking
* Review and comment on bids and contract award recommendation reports
* Estimating of value engineering options and lifecycle costs
* Establishment and maintenance of a program cost benchmarking database
* Analysing and reporting on Consultants and Contractors cost reports and cashflows
* Co-ordination with Package Managers, Consultants and Contractors
* Preparation of monthly and weekly reports

Requirements

Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor required with a background in roads, highways and infrastructure

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

* BSc in related subject or equivalent experience
* MRICS or equivalent
* 10 years post graduate experience
* Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and Infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities
* Experience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, financial accounting, expenditure profiling, cost reporting and cost forecasting
* Ability effectively monitor and analyse cost, identify trends and recommend corrective actions
* Experienced user of MS Office, advanced MS Excel user and Primavera Contracts Manager
* Report writing skills an advantage
* Previous experience in the Middle East an advantage
* Fluent English both written and spoken
