Senior Quantity Surveyor (Hyder - Qatar)
To oversee the quality of work performed by contractors on the delivery for the General Engineering Consultancy Services for Contract 2, Area 3. To work so that the project meets time, and budgetary targets, whilst meeting or exceeding Clients expectations. Acting in the authority delegated by the Senior Resident Engineer to administer the construction contracts.
Requirements
- Assessment of quantities
- Advise SRE on valuations and prepare payment certification for the engineer to sign;
- Maintain and update registers for contracts, payments, and site instructions / change orders and advise client
- Review construction documents issued from time to time and provide conceptual estimates and cost estimates
- Review, assess and issue recommendation on contractor submitted Extension of Time & other cost claims
- Oversee all aspects of the commercial management of construction projects; monitor and coordinate work performed by the contractor from commercial perspective, and other construction firms directly appointed by the Client as well as local entities.
- Review, assess and issue recommendation on variations and manage the changes
