The Role


The Role


Senior construction quantity surveyor is required to join a medium scale construction company. Roles and responsibilities will include the following:

A. Contract Administration

Overall Contract Administration of Supply and Sub-contract agreements including

1. Input on selection of Suppliers/Sub-Contractors
2. manage the tender process
3. evaluation and recommendation for approval
4. sub-contract agreements
5. Monitoring & post award administration of agreements.
6. Contractual correspondence

B. Budgets, Estimates, Costing & Cost control

Advice finance dept. on various aspects of costing including

1. Advice on budgets for the project
2. Advice on costs for changes, additional scope, revisions etc.
3. Cost coding of payments to respective account heads
4. reconciliation of actual costs to anticipated costs
5. advice to project team on various cost related issues

C. Payments Certifications

Manage the process of supplier/subcontractor payments including

1. Identification of budget heads
2. Verify & Certify payments
3. Ensure timely certification and other administrative procedures

D. Procurement

Manage the procurement process in coordination with procurement dept. including

1. Verify, budget, allocate cost heads to PRs
2. Ensure timely data required for procurement like BOMs
3. Coordinate and monitor procurement activities based on priority
4. Procurement schedules & forecasts
5. Advice project team on status of procurement, issues such as budget/material over runs, shortage of items etc.

E. Coordination with all departments within the project team

1. Design dept. for status, revisions, QA/QC inspections etc on regular basis
2. Project execution team for scope of work, status of work, variations, abortive works, daywork records etc.
3. Planning dept on progress updates, schedules, resource projections etc.
4. Stores for materials management and monitoring
5. Time keeping dept for labour and equipment management
