Our client is a major multi-disciplinary consultancy, which is currently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the design division arm of its business based in Kuwait.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the preparation of tender and contract document including bills of quantities. The successful incumbent will also be responsible for analyzing tenders from various contractors and recommending in the selection of the same.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards, applicable laws and regulations; assist the HoS in establishing/updating section policies and procedures
- Support the HoS in providing inputs to the proposals department during submission of proposals
- Develop a thorough understanding of owner/client design requirements prior to the commencement of any design project; coordinate with the HoS and other architects & engineers for further clarifications on design requirements
- Support the design department in the preparation of final design through providing regular inputs on materials, costs etc
- Prepare tender documents for clients that includes the bill of quantities, specifications, contract conditions, final design etc for the clients review
- Attend to the clients feedback on tender documents and incorporate the clients feedback
- Assisting in floating the tender for the client
- Attend meetings with the client that include both pre-tender and post-tender meetings
- Prepare and review the Tender Evaluation Report
- Check all outgoing documents (tender/contract) in accordance with ISO 9001 and our clients standards
- Monitor the project progress/target and ensure completion of projects as planned
- Guide and assist team members as and when required

Requirements

In order to be considered for this role, the Senior Quantity Surveyor must possess the following skills and attributes:

- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent due to visa restrictions) in Engineering preferably Civil Engineering or alternatively a degree in Quantity Surveying
- Additional accreditation by the RICS Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors is preferable
- Certification from Kuwait Society of Engineers is highly advantageous
- Possess 10+ years of experience in the construction industry with at least 5+ years in a Senior Position.
- Have excellent leadership and communication skills.
