Senior Quantity Surveyor

* Review of detailed Quantification carried out by the Estimating Quantity Surveyors for multi-disciplinary projects including mixed use developments, Retail Developments, Hotels, Residential villas, Infrastructure and Commercial projects etc.
* Study complete tender documents, co-ordination with the Quantity Surveyors and Document Controllers to incorporate all the Tender Documents and Submission are in line with the requirements.
* Review Tender appraisal, arrange QSs for site visit.
* Responsible for Raising RFIs and Sending RFQs and following up with Subcontractors for quotations, Reviewing subcontractors comparison and Preparation of tenders for submission.

* Following Detailed Tendering procedure for PAS 999 Audit via Integrated Management System.
* Studying complete tender documents/ BOQ & Drawings. Preparing Tender Appraisal and discuss with Sr. Estimator.
* Preparation of time frame for quantity takeoff, Work allocation to team for quantity preparation, monitoring the progress
* Preparation of Bill of Quantities for the project referring the drawings and specifications, if BOQ is not provided by the Consultant.
* Verification of the detailed quantities carried out by Quantity surveyors and comparing with tender BOQ.
* Preparation of tender Queries & sending to consultant/client.
* Sending request for site visit, attending mid-tender meeting & site visit and preparing site visit reports.
* Supporting for Floating enquires for sub-contractors and suppliers based on tender documents. Obtaining quotations from the suppliers and negotiating as well.
* Supporting for Preparation of comparative statements for subcontractors quotations including verifying subcontractors compliance with specifications / Qualifications for further review.
* Preparing the documents for commercial proposal and co-ordinate with planning department and preparing Technical documents and submission of tender.
* Any other activities as instructed by the superiors.
* Prepare various Quantity Surveying documents including budgetary estimates from concept drawings, Bill of Quantities for all disciplines and costs Estimates.

Requirements

- University Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Other certifications obtained: RICS, CIOB, PMP.
- Specialist knowledge: Minimum Eight (8) years of experience in construction industry of which at least Four (4) years should have functioned in same role in construction industry in GCC.
- Experience in the use of computer based quantification and knowledge in using systems such as CCS - Candy.
- Strong leadership skills, a team developer with motivational skills.
- Knowledge in using Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Power point, outlook express etc.)
- An Effective communicator written and verbal and Capable of working independently.
- Experience in the optimal use of AutoCAD for Quantity Takeoff.
