Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading global Building Consultancy and has access to circa 19,000 professionals worldwide operating in over 70 countries, 300 offices and generating in excess of 2.3 billion in revenue.

To assist in this continued growth we are now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee a major project in Saudi Arabia (Middle East). The role would be based at our clients office in Riyadh focussing on a major construction program in the city. We are looking for high calibre candidates who have the ability to work in a professionally challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you would be responsible for working on and the successful financial delivery of cost monitoring budgetary control for our client
You will take responsibility for the delivery of projects, commissions and professional assignments
Be competent in the delivery of Cost Management
Assume a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
Maintain effective communication ensuring all information is available for the successful completion of projects, to liaise with other managers to ensure efficient financial control resulting in projects being cost effective
Be able to undertake commercial management services with limited supervision
Deliver all work outputs in an accurately and timely manner
Provide support to the Team Leader / Service Leaders in cost management of projects
Be a proactive team player
Respond to contractors claims on the clients behalf
Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner, meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients forming a strong working relationship in true partnership

Requirements

Person Specification / Qualifications:

Degree qualified from a Western University in Quantity Surveying
MRICS (Or equivalent)
Worked for a recognised blue chip consultancy
Experience in dealing with FIDIC Contracts
Experience in responding to contractor claims
Fluent in English (verbal & written)
