Job description / Role
As the Senior Radio Planner you will responsible of preparing AOP, 3YBP, and managing license obligations (Fixed & Mobile), handling all TRA related projects and obligation communication with regulatory team andmanaging the licenses of different nodes in the 2G/3G/WiMAX/LTE.Your main responsibilities is dimensioning and planning the radio network according to commercial and marketing requirements as set in AOP and 3YBP with-in allocated budget requirements and ensuring the plans are covering the license obligations for TRA, handling all the communications related to TRA obligation and TRA projects, preparing for new phases by evaluating new phases requirements, doing cross-functional communications, and setting up the guidelines, preparing the solution document or strategy, kicking-off the project, regular follow-up, clearing new phases requirements with vendors and doing necessary orderings, initiating projects that will enhance the network efficiency and in line with company marketing vision, undertaking the tools management by regular updating all the network projects of each technology (2G, 3G, LTE-FDD, TD-LTE), capable of handling the advance function on the planning tool for RF analysis, carrying out tools updates and keeping track of all changes, carrying out all tools activities like predictions, planning for new sites, traffic forecasting, capacity requirement analysis, undertaking capacity management by monitoring overall radio network performance and KPIs and take necessary action to improve it, advising on upgrade/changes on a weekly basis and follow- up on work orders and suggest changes and follow up the role out plan for the new sites and upgrade with concern departments, capable of weekly KPI reporting and setting up the proper process of all such activities, managing traffic forecasts using the network stats, capable of studying the network trends and planning the capacity expansion programme by using the forecasted data and study of the voice + data trends, capable of running different trials & coming out with result oriented solutions, preparing, leads and reviewing the technical specifications for initiation of new technologies/equipment, suggesting and introducing different test for new equipment in the network.
Responsibilities shall also include the following:
* Liaising with other departments within the company to assure regular smooth flow of information/procedures regarding the initiation of the project.
* Leading the project initiated by radio planning department within the budget allocation and ensure the timely completion.
* Dealing with the vendor/s through meetings in order to execute different trials, features performance, BoQ review, Solution Analysis, Road-Map Study, Traffic Analysis, Incorporation of Modern Tools & Techniques in Radio Planning Department and Network specifications.
* Coaching, training and leading junior team members.
* Raising the entire PR and follow up on POs.
* Maintaining the updated tracker of the CAPEX and OPEX record.
Requirements
You should have a minimum of4 years of working experience including 3 years on radio planning as technical. Previous experience must be with established national or international operators or major manufacturers with a a BSc. in Engineering/Telecommunications or related fields.
* Advance level of knowledge on Radio planning and OSS tools are required.
* Capable to control advice and supervise the teams and projects.
* Professional MS Office skills.
* Good problem solving skills.
* Very good on project management skills.
* Good Communication skills.
* Very good written and spoken English.
* Good written and spoken Arabic is desirable.
