The RoleThe RoleCorporate Investment Banking Division within the Corporate Banking Group. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Management of existing SFS relationships. Origination and business development of new deals / projects both within the Kingdom and in the GCC region. Perform all project finance, structuring, syndication, loan documentation and agency credit related work of the Department. Originate and deliver on financial advisory mandates. Contribute in achievement of overall Department targets of loans, commission / fee income, and overall profitability. Develop and train junior staff in the Department. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Business Development and Deal Execution: Identify new deals in project finance, structured finance or syndication sectors through local and international banking contacts, corporate banking relationship managers, CALYON networks and periodicals. Complete origination works from deal discovery to signing of mandate letter. Complete evaluation of project financing, evaluating and making financial models for grass root, brown field and expansion projects in petrochemical, telecom, oil and gas, and power sectors. Prepare credit paper and obtain approval on financing. Structure deals, attend syndicate meetings and liaise with legal counsel on documentation, complete all condition precedent requirements. Prepare call (visit) memos for visits / telephone calls to existing and prospective customers. Syndications: Where BSF is the Lead Bank Identify potential clients/deals. Structure deals / seek in-principal management and credit approvals. Market and prepare offers on the deal/financing; negotiate terms and conditions of the financing with the client/borrower. Obtain arrangement mandates. Prepare offering memoranda / info package. Invite banks, act as book-runner; negotiate loan documentation; arrange signing. Where BSF is the Participating Bank:- Solicit syndication invitations from other banks. Review invitations from banks and analyze with a view to participate Prepare credit note for purposes of obtaining approvals. Seek SAMA approvals where necessary. Confirm commitments to Lead bank; Review loan documentation Credit Reviews: Obtain financial, technical, marketing, management, and other required information from the existing to prepare annual credit reviews. Assess customer's overall performance and its potential strengths and weaknesses in the light of specific information gathered and in the light of available industry information and general economic conditions. Summarize findings and recommendations in the Note Clientele and prepare Credit File for approval purpose. Perform periodical and annual credit reviews for files / relationships. Other Functions Assist regional Corporate Banking Divisions for structured deals. Regularly meet regional corporate banking relationship managers. Train junior staff |
RequirementsRequirementsAt least 10-15 years of experience in project finance, structured finance & syndications, corporate banking with well-known bank of international repute. Thorough knowledge of credit and financial analysis (including financial modeling) and loan documentation. Broad knowledge of banking products and services Strong command over written and spoken English language. Mature personality with excellent interpersonal skills Minimum a Masters degree, preferably in finance and accounting. Attended reputable courses and seminars on the subject of Project Financing, Credit and Corporate Banking |
