Out client - an upstream petroleum operating company - is on the lookout for Senior Reservoir Engineer.

Job Description:
- To build a Master Field Development Plan by using reservoir simulation model rather than construct as well as coordinating studies and making quick decisions.
- To define the requirements of the approval process and implementation of the development plans in the short, medium and long terms according to ADNOCs management guidelines.
- To program and perform reservoir evaluation activities to identify and mitigate subsurface uncertainties
- Builds field development plans by using reservoir simulation and new technologies within reservoir engineering to improve field performance and reduce costs
- Probabilistic forecasting and HM scenarios for future field development plans.
- Leads assessment of the feasibility of the ongoing and planned activities relevant to the full field reservoir development plans, and provide technical basis required for management decision.
- Supervises work and prepare detailed technical reports for management on fields development plans.
- Leads plans for follow up to ensure the added values of new drilling based on the optimum number, location and trajectories.
- Leads work to review OPCOs and consultants reports and provide comments and recommendations.
- Identify and manage key subsurface uncertainties
- Participates in all technical milestone meetings with Shareholders and OPCOs in order to update management with solution on the key issues for approval of development plans and strategic objectives.
- Detailed reservoir modelling for the purpose of revising development schemes and making recommendations and potential well conformance opportunities.

Requirements

- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Reservoir / Petroleum Engineering. Masters or Ph.D. Degree in Reservoir / Petroleum Engineering is a plus.
- Large field development planning experiences in Carbonate and Middle East
- A good understanding of reservoir simulation.
- Strong experience of cross disciplines, a good insight into other subsurface discipline and petroleum economics would be useful.
- Broad and thorough understanding of the classical reservoir engineering and experiences with reservoir simulation.
- Experience with EOR, water injection and water/gas management would be advantageous.
- Experience with modern techniques like experimental design for the handling of uncertainties.
- Minimum 10-15 years Reservoir Engineering including proficiency with reservoir engineering core softwares (Eclipse, Petrel RE, PanSystem, OFM, PipeSim, Questor and etc.), volumetric analysis, material balance, well performance & monitoring, risk & uncertainty analysis.
- High level of English proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
