Senior Reservoir Engineer

Job description / Role

The Highfield Company are currently working closely with a very successful International, Independent Oil & Gas Exploration and Production company. Our client have a Senior Reservoir Engineer position to be based in Cairo and work on their ongoing operations in the Egyptian Eastern Desert.

The role will work as an integral part of the Egyptian Eastern Desert Asset Teams to manage the subsurface depletion plan. The candidate must be able to demonstrate influential leadership and initiative within the organization.

Requirements

- BS or equivalent degree in Petroleum Engineering (preferred), with minimum 10 years and preferably 15+ years of oil & gas subsurface industry experience. Other Engineering degrees will be considered based on level of subsurface experience.
- Experience preparing and monitoring field development and optimization plans
- Experience with water-flood projects and tight oil reservoirs preferred
- Additional EOR or ASP experience is desirable
- Experience working with a Production Engineering team to manage work over and recompletion plans, and reserve migration plans
- Experience with heavy and medium oil operations
- Previous international operations experience preferred
- Classic reservoir training in material balance, log analysis, reserves, and simulation is desirable
