Senior Resident Engineer - Qatar - Large Highway Project

This excellent opportunity is for a Snr Resident Engineer to join an international company that delivers engineering, project structuring and operations services globally. My client operate in over 100 countries and are currently carrying out large Highways and Roads projects throughout Qatar.

Our client are looking for an experienced Senior Resident Engineer to come on board their teams currently working on a large Highway project already underway in Qatar. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:

DUTIES:
- Managing the team of Resident Engineers
- Ensuring all requirements relating to HSE and security are met
- Provide leadership to the project team and the project as a whole
- Supervise the contractors quality control procedures and implement the quality assurance procedures in accordance with the international standards
- Schedule and attend required weekly progress meeting, site construction meetings and site visits with the contractor and the client
- Advising on contractual and construction matters
- Review and follow up to prepare the variation orders and recommendations for the client
- Reviewing, monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project
- Regular liaison with the client and PMC
- Respond with appropriate levels of action and supervision to meet quality expectations of the work in accordance with contract documents

Requirements

The successful candidate will be expected to have at least 20 years of construction and management experience. The requirements for this role are:
- BSc in Civil Engineering
- 10 years experience of the management and construction of large-scale highway projects
- Must be chartered or registered as a professional engineer by a professional organisation accepted by the Qatari authorities
- Must have proven experience of taking large-scale projects from design to completion
- GCC experience is beneficial
