Employment: Full Time

A Sr. Resident Engineer is required in Abu Dhabi, UAE by an International company providing engineering and consulting services to different sectors like Energy, Hydropower & Water Resources and Transportation. They have won projects for ADCO / TRANSCO / ADWEA.

Job Description:
• Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
• Dispatches site supervision staff and monitors their work
• Engages in site supervision as required at the particular stage of the project
• Actively resolves technical and contractual issues
• Presents the company in the project meetings, actively coordinates with all stakeholders in the project
• Prepares minutes of meetings, progress and other reports for the client
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
• Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
• Monitors and coordinates timely review of contractor's document and dispatching of comments to contractor
• Effectively applies company methodology and enforces project standards.
• Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
• Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
• Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
• Prepares cost estimates of changes to EPC works as applicable.
• Prepares estimations and provides support to the Resident Manager for any change requests and variation orders

Requirements

Requirement:
• BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Preferred qualification in Project Management
• Possesses excellent understanding of all technical aspects of substation design and construction and contract procedures and practices
• 15 years experience in substation design and construction
• 5 years experience as Project Manager in substation design and/or construction
• Nationality: Western / Arab
