The RoleThe RolePOSITION OVERVIEW: Independently develops methods and solutions for engineering problems; Experienced in managing teams of site staff. Technical, financial and contractual knowledge a must. Experience of Health and safety management required. Responsible for the execution of the project on site and interface with the Client and Contractors. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Performance - • To meet the project budget • Manage the Contractor and minimize overspend. • Produce monthly financial reports or as required by the contract. • Responsible for achieving the allocated budgets and schedules for the construction projects. Project Execution - • Ensure technical reviews and compliance of design engineering with Quality Management Systems to maintain and improve high quality deliverables to our clients. • Target meeting or exceeding client expectation. • Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately. • Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings. • Manages contractors.. • Supervises reviews of drawing submittals and material approvals • Manages the contract administration • Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Personnel Recruitment and Development of Staff - • Assist if requested in the training and development of junior personnel to strengthen our capability and make us more competitive in current and future markets. DESIRED RESULTS: • Efficiently manage project construction • Improve engineering design efficiency • Complete the project on schedule and within man-hours and cost budgets. • Increase internal/external client satisfaction. • Improve internal/external client communications. • Decrease client changes. |
RequirementsRequirements• Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject from Major University. • 15 years postgraduate experience of infrastructure engineering with progressively increasing responsibility. Must include periods with large consultancy practice. • Previous RE experience on large sites essential • Extensive and knowledgeable computer skills (CAE/CAD and database programs) • Ability to implement Quality Management System on projects effectively • Working overseas or in the region essential. • Good spoken and written English is essential. |
